Perfectly fine if you are mostly interested in CPU and case temperatures.Ģ) SpeedFan : Very robust information about CPU and GPU temperatures, fan speeds and loads. Doesn't monitor fan speeds or GPU information. I personally would be tempted to stay away from it.ġ) CoreTemp : Quite good, built-in Rainmeter plugin, but a little limited. I don't remember specifics, but I think there have been some stability issues with the OpenHardwareMonitor plugin for Rainmeter, and I'm not sure it is still supported by its author. If you don't use OpenHardwareMonitor for other purposes, I really suggest looking at either CoreTemp or SpeedFan, both of which can measure CPU temperature and have Rainmeter plugins that come with Rainmeter, or HWInfo, which while also 3rd-party, is the one that I use and am really happy with. You need to double check the name of the sensor you are referencing from OpenHardwareMonitor. I'm not familiar with it.Īssuming you have that covered, and it looks like you might, then I'm not sure. If not, you will need to find it somewhere. I assume the plugin came with the skin, as it is not a standard Rainmeter plugin but a 3rd-party one. It should be put in:Ĭ:\Users\ YourName\AppData\Roaming\Rainmeter\PluginsĪnd must be the same 32bit or 64bit architecture as the Rainmeter version you are running. You not only need to have OpenHardwareMonitor running on your system, but you must have OpenHardwareMonitorPlugin.dll, the plugin for Rainmeter that supports OpenHardwareMonitor. Plugin=Plugins\OpenHardwareMonitorPlugin.dll Here is the script that I have for CPU.ini: I get the requested sensor does not exist error. I have open hard ware monitor open and running. So, please help.Fairly new with rain meter, love it so far, I am using an older skin everything works great except for the cpu temp which only shows 0 C. I tried also using the ? : thing to no avail. I've tried several things with the MeasureCore1Max, different variations on the If statements and I've tried using MeasureTempCore1 as a Forumula. IfAboveAction=!Execute ] [!UpdateMeasure The only thing working is that the current temp appears no problem, but the max is always 0 Even calling the MeasureCore1Max in a meter returns 0Īnyway here's a small look at some of the code I have. Then later I have Core1Max in a string meter, and it appears as 0. I guess the biggest issue is I can't get a single calc to work, even something that should obviously work. The problem is neither CoreTemp nor OHM seem to allow me to read the max value even though they have it recorded, so it seems I need to figure out how to make my skin do the calcs. This way I can display my temp in a very simple manner such as 37C/54C (for current/max). I found the OpenHardwareMonitor plugin somebody had made, which I think is a lot better than the default Core Temp plugin as it can return much more useful information.Īlright so what I have is the temp reading for each core, and what I want to do is record the highest value that reaches and then save it, and update it anytime the current temp exceeds it. I did the tutorial and managed to create my own little skin, and have been fooling around on creating a new one. So I've got the basics down for Rainmeter so far. Hi guys, I'm really hoping someone can help me figure this one out.
